Colorado Springs Philharmonic Guild monthly email newsletter                                                                                                                                     December 2019

From the President

__
The busy-ness of the season is upon us. Take time to enjoy family, friends, and your love of music during the upcoming holiday season. Meanwhile, your Guild is gearing up for its Spring Fundraiser. Get ready to dress up and enjoy our Kentucky Derby Party on Saturday, May 2, beginning at 2 pm. We have a lot of details to confirm, but we plan on having a great time together as a Guild. Invite friends and family. We will of course have a hat contest and a bourbon tasting, and we will watch the famous race live from our undisclosed location. Stay tuned for details.

The Guild programs allow you an opportunity to network and socialize with other Guild members. We hope you will take advantage of these monthly programs to get to know each other better and to get involved in the work of the Guild.

Our Young Artist Soloist competition takes place in February, and our popular Musical Chairs program--an opportunity to be on stage with the musicians during a Philharmonic rehearsal--happens in March.

Stay warm. Stay connected and we hope to see you at the Guild's holiday party, starting at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17. RSVP here.  We will see you in December at the Deco Lounge inside the beautiful Fine Arts Center.

Most sincerely,
Hope Mena
Guild Board President

Nutcracker Boutique

Thank you all for your volunteer support before, during and after  the 2019 Nutcracker Boutique!  Our event this year grossed over $31,000, a record breaking event for the team.  We had a wonderful FIRST TIME raffle and 5 very happy people now own a gorgeous Nutcracker King.
