Colorado Springs Philharmonic Guild Listening Club
Listen. Discuss. Enjoy.
Thomas Wilson, highly respected local conductor and musicologist, leads listeners through a series of monthly, hour-long listening groups to engage our minds and spirits, while studying the composers and music that make up the symphonic genre. Mr. Wilson will facilitate a core group hosted on zoom with questions answered throughout. We encourage others to form their own groups (either in person or on zoom) to continue the discussion. Each participant will receive a link to the musical selection, and to Mr. Wilson's notes and questions to guide you or your group through the initial hour.
Thomas Wilson is Associate Conductor of the Colorado Springs Philharmonic, Music Director of the Chamber Orchestra of Colorado Springs, and serves on the music faculties at Colorado College, the Colorado Springs Conservatory, and University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. Questions?? Email us here. Have you missed past Listening Club meetings?
Maestro Thomas Wilson has invested a great deal of time providing our Listening Club audience with excellent resources. Click and download the link to the right to have your own copy of his discussion notes from our previous Listening Club sessions.
