This event is our annual celebration of the CSP Guild and the Colorado Springs Youth Symphony collaboration. Each year the CSYSA holds the Young Artist Soloist Competition at the beginning of January. Over the years our generous members have stepped up to sponsor the prize money for the winners. Our 2021 donors will be recognized at the event. The honors for students include the opportunity to show off their winning performance for the Guild Members. I would suggest on behalf of the members that the honor is all ours! This year the event will take place on March 17th, beginning at 11:30PM at the new very spacious CSYSA home, located at 3113 Primrose Drive. Wear green! Members will be provided a box lunch and a sealed beverage, available to pick up after being admitted between 11:30am – 12:00pm. You will then be directed to a socially/physically distanced seat. The event performance will begin at 12:00pm and should last about an hour. This IS an in person event, where standard COVID-19 safety procedures will be in place. (PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR ADDITIONAL SAFETY DETAILS) We look forward to seeing many of you in person and hope there will be more times to get together safely in the near future!
The following are safety details provided by Keven Stewart, CSYSA Executive Director:

  • Everyone’s temperature will be checked at the entrance.
  • If anyone has any of the known COVID-19 symptoms or has recently been exposed should not plan to attend.
  • Masks will be required.
  • The event space has an industrial furnace system with upgraded MERV13 medical grade air filters, which provide the safest environment.
  • The furnace fan system, which will run constantly during the event, circulates 100% of the air every 10 minutes.
  • The space has been used by CSYSA since July without a single known case of COVID-19 transmission.
·         The space has the capacity to seat 75 people with a high level of safety.
