Hello Guild members and friends!
The Colorado Springs Philharmonic Guild is gearing up for the Fall. How is that possible when we don't have a season announcement? As a Guild....as the helper and supporter of the Philharmonic, we need to keep moving forward. There may be a lot of things we cannot do, but there are things we CAN do. The Guild's purpose remains to fundraise for the Colorado Springs Philharmonic, however a byproduct of that purpose is getting together to visit and enjoy one other's company. Our membership programs are a benefit of your membership in the Guild. Why not continue meeting? Join us for our first program,  held Thursday, September 9, 5:00 pm, at the home of Hope and Joe Mena. They have a beautiful home with exquisite gardens that we will use as a backdrop to enjoy wine and light appetizers, while listening to the lovely sounds of live music. Currently, plans include a string quartet and a jazz ensemble. Hope has plans to entertain and delight us with an intentional wander through her garden and home while enjoying a fabulous program. Please RSVP here.

We are in our earliest planning stages for the Winter Dinner. Yes. There are a lot of unknowns at this time. Moving forward in courage and confidence that there will be a resolution is one step we can take. For now, we ask that you hold Thursday, December 2, 2021, for our Winter Dinner.

The Guild Listening Club has met several times. Thank you for your involvement to keep us "meeting together" (via zoom) while we could not meet together in person. The list of Listening Club members stands at about 130 people. We have received a lot of valuable, and, frankly, entertaining information from Maestro Thomas Wilson. It has been a pleasure for me to get to know him better and to listen to the way he thinks about --and loves-- music. Check out the Listening Club page.

And finally, the Palisade Peaches are back! Tomorrow, August 10 is the final day to order your peaches. Delivery will be Saturday, August 21 at the Broadmoor Community Church. Details are here.

Hope to see you soon.

Maestro Thomas Wilson is passionate about music. It shows every month as he takes us through a particular piece of music.

Hope (and Joe) Mena host our first Member Program on Thursday, Sept. 9, 5:00 p.m. She may-or may not-play the piano, but is sure to delight us as a hostess and good friend of the Guild.
