The Symphony Library: who remembers this great purchase from 2003?
In 2003, The Colorado Springs Symphony Guild (as it was called then), desiring to further promote the musical arts in Colorado Springs and the liberal arts mission of Colorado College, made a gift of the Symphony Library to the College. Currently housed in Packard Hall on the Colorado College campus, this vast collection of over 800 orchestral scores and parts is available for use by orchestral groups residing in El Paso County. The following guidelines pertain to its use:
• The College has the primary right to use the Symphony Library for its educational purposes. However, whenever reasonably
practicable, the College shall make the Symphony Library available upon request to other established symphonic organizations
of all levels, based in El Paso County.
• The College has the primary right to use the Symphony Library for its educational purposes. However, whenever reasonably

- The College will not charge for use of the Symphony Library by other Colorado Springs orchestral music users except to the extent necessary to cover reasonable processing and administrative expenses associated with maintaining the music library. The fee is normally $20, only to be exceeded if the preparation for borrowing several works requires an undue amount of time.
From the President:
![]() Hello and Happy February. Thank you all for your participation in either delivering, or purchasing the Valentine's Survival Kits put together and sold by the Philharmonic. It was a terrific fundraiser and lots of fun for me and others I know to get to deliver these great packages to patrons and friends throughout Colorado Springs.
We are putting the final touches on our Listening Club, hosted by Associate Music Director Thomas Wilson. The first installment will take place via zoom in April, and will provide the details as they become available. Our February program is sold out; and what a great program it will be, coming up 3 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 27 at the Broadmoor. Still available is our "A Night In" event the same evening. Book a reservation and stay the night at the beautiful Broadmoor. Our March program will be a concert featuring the winners of the Youth Symphony Young Solo Artist Competition. The program takes place 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Wed., March 17 at the Youth Symphony's "new" headquarters: 3113 Primrose Drive, Colorado Springs, CO 80907. RSVP here.
