March Madness: Not basketball, but a lot of balls in the air planning for several great Guild activities

We have a lot on our plate right now at the Colorado Springs Philharmonic Guild. Planning for next year already, including our nominating committee, fully formed and on point to put together a strong board for next year. We are putting the final touches to this month's program--the always popular Musical Chairs program, a partnership with the Colorado Springs Philharmonic, where we have the opportunity to watch a Philharmonic rehearsal. Also underway is the planning for our upcoming Hat Shopping party on April 2 at Motif Jazz Cafe, which is just a precursor to our already successful Spring Fundraiser, the Kentucky Derby Watch Party, to be held Saturday, May 2, 3 to 6 p.m. at the Norris Penrose Event Center's VIP Room. We are excited about all that we have coming up. I would like to thank the current board for all of its hard work. A special thanks to Kim Gunderson for adding a lot of quality and interest to our monthly programs this year, resulting in increased attendance for this very special member benefit. I also want to thank Deron Hickman for his work with our valued Young Solo Artist Competition. What a great partnership we enjoy with the Colorado Springs Youth Symphony. Thank you to our growing membership and the rise in interest by our current members for the ongoing work of the Guild.

A follow up to our February Program

Our March Program is Thursday, March 26. Deadline to RSVP, March 18.

Our March program will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 26, 2020 at the Pikes Peak Center (190 S. Cascade Avenue). Musical Chairs is an opportunity to attend a Philharmonic rehearsal. We will offer light sweet and savory bites with coffee or tea. Deadline to attend this special program is March 18. This program fills quickly. RSVP for the monthly program here.

We are excited to share the progress of our Spring Fundraiser. To date, we have several sponsors and will open ticket sales to the membership on March 14. The following have committed to contributing to our Spring Fundraiser: El Pomar Foundation, UCHealth, Tiemens Family Foundation, Raymond James, Mena Trust, Disruptive Medical Solutions, Children's Hospital and Broadmoor Dental.
