The Colorado Springs Philharmonic Guild monthly newsletter March, 2022
Dear Guild Members,
Our March program is coming up soon! Join us Saturday, March 12, 3 to 5 p.m. for our member program featuring "Josh and John" at the Broadmoor Lake Terrace Dining Room. Complimentary valet parking is available. We are grateful to Herman Tiemens, Private Wealth Management of Wells Fargo Advisors for his sponsorship of our program. We look forward to this event and are combining it, as we did last year, with our "A Night In" fundraiser, where you get to enjoy the food, drinks and entertainment of the Guild program, along with an overnight stay at the fabulous Broadmoor Hotel and Resort. Join us Saturday for one, or both events. If you intend to attend the program only, Please RSVP here. To purchase the room night, please go here. Our thanks to Guild Member Vic ThackerOur Guild members Victor and Mary Thacker were in attendance at our February program. In fact, the Thackers sponsored one of our Young Artist Solo Competition winners. Vic volunteered to take a few photographs, and what an eye this man has for the beauty and detail of this lovely concert. Enjoy his photos.

President's Message: Join the Guild Board of Directors for 2022-23 seasonDear Colorado Springs Philharmonic Guild members,
Where has the time gone? I am nearing the end of my volunteer term and look forward to seeing the momentum continue for the Philharmonic Guild. Our board has really stepped up and has served during a time that got a little crazy, but we have pulled through it. I would love to say "It's over"....but we just can't see into the future. However, we must continue moving forward "as if" all is well. It is that time of year when we begin to consider new board members. If you are a Guild member who would like to serve on our board (two year term, begins September 2022) please email me by Friday, March 18. Upcoming programs and events include our April Member Program, to be held Wednesday, April 20, at The Warehouse. In May join us for our second annual Kentucky Derby Party and Fundraiser Saturday, May 7, 3 to 6 pm at Gold Hill Mesa. And finally, our May Member Program, which is our annual membership meeting, where we will elect a new board of directors. This meeting will take place Wednesday, May 18, 5 to 7 pm. Details to be announced. I have enjoyed my time on the Colorado Springs Philharmonic Guild board of directors. We have planned so many great programs and events, and it truly makes a difference to our Philharmonic Orchestra. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to serve and I look forward to hearing from you. Most sincerely, Joy Maples |
