The Guild sponsors scholarships to the top four winners of theColorado Springs Youth Symphony annual Young Solo Artist Competition. Tryouts are in January and are judged by local professional musicians.  Winners then are invited to play at the Pikes Peak Center final concert of the CS Youth Symphony.  Winners are awarded $1500 — 1st place, $1,000 — 2nd place, $500 third place and $500 fourth place.  Money is awarded and sent to the CS Youth Symphony to help pay for their music lessons and music. We appreciate the support of Dennis Keegan and Laurent Carrier for their continued interest in supporting young musicians as they work, practice, and dream of playing music. This year, we had several members step up and grow the Young Soloist Competition and we now add Dr. Victor and Mary Thacker, Alice Marie Thomas and Marilyn Miller to the roster of supporters of our Young Solo Artist competition.
